Guy J. Leclerc
Guy Joseph LeClerc passed away peacefully at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital on April 21st .
He was 86 years old. Guy was born on August 17, 1931 to Dorilas and Bertha (Lessard) LeClerc in Westbrook, Maine. He was the third child of thirteen children.
Guy served two years in the Air National Guard before enlisting in the Air Force. During his four years as a medical corpsman, he served tours of duty in Korea and Texas. It was in Texas that he met Margaret “Tiny” Moylan, and they were married on November 19, 1955. Three months later, after being honorably discharged from the Air Force they moved back to Tiny’s hometown, Sag Harbor and Guy joined the Plumbers Local Union 200 and worked as an industrial plumber pipefitter for over thirty years. In 1961 Guy moved his family to the house he built on 391 North Main Street, his home for 57 years.
Guy was a devoted husband and father, avid reader, a talented carpenter and craftsman and loved to spend time in his garden. He is predeceased by his wife, his oldest son, Keith, his brothers Roland, Norman, Gerard and baby sister Ida. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea McKeefrey and her husband Robert of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Maria Johns and her husband Robert of Sebastian, FL, sons Brian LeClerc and Michael LeClerc and his wife Karen of Southampton, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, 5 sisters, many nieces and nephews and his cat and faithful companion, Dougie.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 27th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Poland, R.C. Church in Southampton followed by burial at Calverton National Ceremony in Calverton.
