Connie Kalish of Bridgehampton died at peace in his home on May 9. He was 95.
Born on Sep 11, 1920 in his parent’s home in Bridgehampton, he was the youngest son of Anthony and Wladyslawa “Anna” (Nowicki) Kalish. He had 2 brothers, Edward and Chester and 2 sisters, Jean Gugell and Emily Tiska. All have predeceased him. Connie and his brother Chester were long time potato farmers in Bridgehampton and East Hampton.
He married Frances Ruthinowski in Aug, 1946. He is survived by 3 of his 4 sons, Anthony and wife Christine, David and wife Karen, Gary and wife Lisa. Daniel predeceased his father and is survived by his wife Caroline (Griffith) and daughter Jocelin. Ten grandchildren, Michael, Nicolas and Sara (Gunsiorowski); Gary, Jon and Amanda; Luke, Kimberly (House) and Kristopher; and Jocelin. Nine greatgrandchildren, Logan and Ari Kalish; Sheila and Walter Gunsiorowski; Sophia, Jack, Julian and Charlie Kalish; and Connor House.
A memorial service is being planned for June at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bridgehampton. A private interment is being planned at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary R.C. Cemetery.
