Born: January 16, 1911The funeral arrangements were under the direction of the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Poland Roman Catholic Church with internment at Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Cemetery in Southampton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in memory of Frances Kominski, to Our Lady of Poland Church, 35 Maple Lane, Southampton, NY 11968.

Frances Grodski Kominski, of Bridgehampton died at her home on July 7, 2012. Mrs. Kominski was born in Poland on January 16, 1911 to Stfania and Boleslaw Grodski. She came to the United States in 1926, after she, her mother and younger sister were released from a war camp in Siberia. In 1932, she married Frank Kominski, who died in 1989, and moved to their family farm on Sagg Road in 1938. Although she and Frank had no biological children of their own, around 1971, the couples nephew, Donald Grodski, came to live with them. Mrs. Kominski, in addition to working on the family farm, cleaned many of the estates in Southampton. She was a long standing parishioner at Our Lady of Poland in Southampton, and spent many days – up until her death, at the Senior Center in Bridgehampton.Besides, Donald – who was considered by Mrs. Kominski as her son, she is survived by a sister Mary Petraszewski, of New Hampshire, and Louise Grodski of Southampton. She was preceased by a brother Henry, and sisters Sophie and Virginia.
