TJ Reddick Jr. was born on March 14, 1942 in St. Augustine, Florida to TJ Reddick Sr. & Lonnie Mae Sanks. TJ graduated from Murray High School in 1961 and later moved to New York to live with his Uncle Harry Sanks. There he met his wife Loretta Terry and together the two of them moved to Queens and were later married in June of 1964. Shortly after, they moved to Shinnecock Reservation and raised their family of 4 boys. He was employed at Brookhaven National Laboratory for 25 years, where he earned the title as a Certified Master Carpenter. He later retired in 1999 and spent most of his time traveling with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to take his frequent trips home to St. Augustine and Daytona Beach and would always have room in his truck for anyone who wanted to ride. TJ knew every highway from New York to Florida, and although it would sometimes take a while to get there, with a few stops along the way, he would be sure to arrive at his destination. He also enjoyed lending a helping hand to his family and friends whenever something was broke and needed fixing. He was a handyman in all trades and also enjoyed working on his cars. TJ loved to past the time with a drink of Dewars and listening to the oldies like the O’Jays and Teddy Pendergrass. He could be seen on the dance floor striding his smooth, fancy footwork and taking the lead, with his wife on his arm.
