With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Scott Joseph Alessandro, age 40, beloved husband, son, brother, business partner, friend and family member. After a year-long battle with colo-rectal cancer, Scott passed on May 30th with his beloved wife Katherine Rosbottom by his side.
Scott grew up in Suffern, NY and as a kid, was a champion snow skier. He attended Cortland and New England Colleges. Scott a successful businessman, was a Founder, Partner and the President of New Tradition Media. Scott was an avid golfer and loved to travel with Katherine.
Those who knew Scott lost a shining light in their lives. Scott’s smile was infectious and he was a generous and loyal friend to all. Everyone who met Scott loved him.
Scott battled this last year with great faith and strength. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Katherine, his parents, Joe and Karen Alessandro, and Jill and Richie Israel, his brother JC Alessandro, his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rosbottom, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous other family and friends who adored Scott. In lieu of flowers, Katherine asks that donations be made in Scott’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Giving, Honor a Loved One) in support of colo-rectal cancer research.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4th for Scott Joseph Alessandro from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 5th at 10:00 AM at The Basilica Parish of The Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary RC Church in Southampton, NY. Interment will follow at Sacred Hearts RC Cemetery in Southampton, NY.
