OBITUARY
RICHARD V. GILBRIDE
Richard Gilbride of Southampton, NY died June 26, 2020 with family by his side.
He was born April 6, 1933 in Rockaway Beach, NY to Thomas J. &
Helen (nee’ Corin) Gilbride.
He attended school in Rockaway Beach, NY
Richard was baptized, received First Holy Communion and Confirmation at St. Camilus R.C. Church in Rockaway Beach, NY.
In 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1955.
In 1957 he married Bernice (Bozenna) Urbanowicz at St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C. Church in Brooklyn, NY.
Prior to Richard and Bernice moving to Southampton, they lived with their family in Garden City, NY; Inwood NY and Rockaway Beach, NY.
Before retiring as Chief Investigator for the Town of Hempstead, Richard was a Special Investigator for the Town of Hempstead, Inspector for Weights and Measures Dept., and the U.S. Post Office.
Richard is survived by his sons Richard and wife Doreen and son Richard J.; Timothy and wife Maria; Stephen and wife Antonia and sons Gregory wife Sierra and Trevor; his daughter Christine and husband Robert Wilson; his brother Eugene and wife Patricia.
He is predeceased by his wife Bernice (Bozenna), siblings Michael (Mickey) Gilbride, Marilyn Henry and Carol Ann Byrd.
