Phillip P. D'Ancona

It is with a broken heart that we must share with you, that my husband, partner, love of my life, best friend and incredible father to our son has lost his 3 and half year battle with advanced stage cancer. 

Phillip Peter D’Ancona passed away Monday Evening August 26th at 9:07pm peacefully in the arms of the two people who took care of him, who loved him and who watched The Godfather (1,2, & 3) 900 times with him. 

Hunter and I are proud of Phill for his tenacity, positivity and sheer will as we know we could never endure what he put himself through to live, he wanted to win. This insidious disease as we know did not allow that and hourly, daily, weekly, monthly there were challenges, and it did not stop him.

We celebrated Phill’s life in a private family service today. Hunter and I will receive people over the next few days and sit Shiva at our home in East Hampton.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Concert date will be announced to take place the first or second weekend in early October 

As we have always known but have been constantly reminded over the last few days speaking with so many of you, we shared Phill with so many people; his beautiful soul, warm smile, passion for life and hearty and warm handshake allowed you to enter his world and once you were in, you were in the best company. We mourn his loss with all of you.
