Marie Bellini

Marie Bellini died peacefully of natural causes surrounded by her loving family at her home in Hampton Bays, New York on Wednesday, June 14th at the age of 98.

Marie was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in East Patchogue, Long Island, known locally as Hagerman. She was the daughter of Philip and Angelina DiPaola.

Marie was a passionate bridge player, an avid golfer in her earlier days, and the matriarch of a large and close-knit family. She was widely known for her political views and remained a resolute Roosevelt Democrat until her death.

She is survived by her five children Darby Woodbury, Robin Young Roe, Kerry Young, Randy Giaramita and John Young. As well as five stepchildren Sister Jean Bellini, Nancy Bellini, Mark Kay Lewis and John and Gerard Bellini.

Marie was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren who all received her undivided attention and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Democratic National Committee.

There will be a Memorial Mass on June 26 at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, 168 Hill Street, Southampton, New York. Burial of Cremains to follow at Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
