Linda Jessup of Southampton, passed peacefully at Stony Brook University Hospital surrounded by family on October, 4th 2024. She was 77.
She was born September 22, 1947 in Southampton to Arthur & Marie Warner. She graduated from Mercy High School in Riverhead and went on to work at Tinker National Bank in Southampton. She then went on to receive her Food Handlers Certificate and worked at the Southampton Care Center for 33 years, which she often affectionately referred to as “Prune City”. She then worked for Berkoski Oil & Ice and Hardy Plumbing & Heating until she eventually retired in 2019. After her retirement she enjoyed crocheting and spending quiet time with her animals, family, and eventually welcomed the light of her life, a grandson that she doted on.
She will be remembered for her infectious smile, laugh, her pecan pie muffins, and the many memories she gave her friends and family. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert Jessup of Southampton. Her daughter Kimberly Piazza of Southampton (Joseph Piazza), her Grandson, Luca Piazza and her sister Kathleen Kampf of Southampton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Linda was predeceased by her parents Art & Marie Warner, her brother in law Fred Kampf of Southampton and her grandson, Joseph Robert Piazza.
A celebration of life will be held at the North Sea Community House on November 2, 2024. From 1-4pm.
