Karl Vanston, 52 of Flanders, New York died peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his home. Born Wednesday, June 29, 1960 in West Islip, New York, he was the son of the late John Vanston and Clare Walsh Vanston. The loving husband of Carolyn Vanston. Beloved father of Dillon, Alexander and Karla. Cherished brothers of Paul & Jane Vanston, Mark & Karen Vanston, JoAnn & Pat Timme and Theresa O'Brien. Loving brother-in-law to Pat (Marianne), Tim (Erica), Geoff, and Kevin. He was adored by his 12 nieces and nephews. He graduated from Sullivan County College with a Culinary degree. Karl and Carolyn worked together as caterers for 25 years. He was the owner and chef of Stuart's Seafood Catering for 15 years. In addition he also worked as a bus driver for Acme Inc.. A Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM on Friday at O'Connell Funeral Home located at 30 Little Plains Road Southampton, New York 11968. A private cremation will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2013, at O'Connell Funeral Home, 30 Little Plains Road, Southampton, New York.
