Judith Geddes (nee: Harris) longtime resident of Palm Beach, FL and Southampton, NY died on July 11, 2011 at the age of 84. Judith was born in NY City in 1927 to Robert Mallory Harris & Abbeline Coffey Harriss. Her father was a prominent cotton broker with Harriss & Vole, a real estate investor and patriot of conservative causes. Judith was educated at The Convent of The Sacred Heart in New York City. She married Gerald Maxwell Geddes whom died in 1982. Judith is survived by her sister Mary Harriss Galvin of Southampton and various nieces & nephews and four great-nieces & nephews. She was a member of the Everglades Club in Palm Beach, Colony Club in NYC, Bath & Tennis Club, Southampton Bathing Corporation and The Meadow Club all of Southampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 18th at 10:30 AM at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary RC Church in Southampton. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made in Judith's name to the Boys Harbor, 1 East 104th St., New York, NY 10029-4495.
