Howard Parker Obituary

Howard W.Parker passed away peacefully at his home in Watermill,New York on April 6th,2020.
He was 93.
Born September 9th,1926 in Syracuse,New York to William H.and Honora E. Parker.He graduated from Most Holy Rosary High School and Center City Business Institute,briefly attended Syracuse University and graduated from Parson’s School of Design, majoring in architecture and interior design.
He began his career as an Interior Designer with Richard Mauro Associates in New York City, later joining the firm of Raymond Loewy International,Inc. He remained with the Loewy 32 years becoming Vice President and Director of Interior Design.Mr Parker’s principal design credits are in major departments stores in the continental United States, Canada, Great Britain, and France.
His leisure time was spent playing the piano, reading, attending his many lovely gardens, relaxing on the beach and traveling. He also enjoyed the company of family, good friends, and his dog Cotton.
Mr Parker is survived by his sister Julia Mariann Schwarz of Syracuse,New York, several nieces, nephews, grand/great nieces and nephews well as many loving friends that attended to him over the years.
Predeceased are brothers Donald and Dewey Parker, and their wives. Howard is also predeceased by his partner of 63years Neil J.Heiskell.
A future memorial service will be planned followed by internment in the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum , St Mary’s Cemetery, Syracuse, New York next to his parents William and Honora Parker.
