Harold M. Krzyzewski died at home on August 16, 2012 at the age of 54. He was born on June 20, 1958 and was a lifetime resident of Southampton. Affectionately known to many as "Uncle Harry" he was an avid outdoorsman. His great loves were hunting, fishing, clamming and his family. Mr. Krzyzewski was a past member of the Southampton Fire Department, serving for over fifteen years.
Mr. Krzyzewski was predeceased by his father Harold and nephews Brian Cooke and Sean Krzyzewski. Uncle Harry is survived by his mother Nancy Krzyzewski of Southampton, his son Austin of Hampton Bays, three sisters, Linda Cooke and her husband Brian of Southampton, Debra Krzyzewski and her partner James Conover of Hampton Bays and Dawn Ruiz of Southampton. He is also survived by his brother Jeff Krzyzewski and wife Linda of Scotts Bluff Nebraska and Girlfriend of 14 years Gwen Trpicovsky. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A wake , memorial service and firematic services were held on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at O'Connells Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Cooke , Krzyzewski, Roessle-Meerman Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of O'Connell's Funeral Home, 30 Little Plains Road, Southampton NY 11968.
