Giuseppina Gambino

Giuseppina Gambino, 79, of Southampton, died August 11, 2020. 

Mrs. Gambino was born November 4th 1940, in Palermo, Sicily. 

She came to New York with her late husband Celestino Gambino in 1972 and her 7 children, survived by daughters Maria Ligregni, Giovanna Manglaviti, Anna-Maria Gambino, Patricia Taglavia,  Rosalia Porco and sons Francesco Gambino and Rudolpho Gambino. Her 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren knew and loved her as their “Nonna.”  

Giuseppina played a crucial part in the success of the well established family owned and run business La Parmigiana in Southampton, NY.  She was an exceptionally strong minded woman with incredible skills in the kitchen sharing traditional Sicilian delicacies like Caponata, Arancini and Spiedini to name a few. 

Mrs. Gambino’s family grieves her loss,  and will honor her on Thursday, August 12, 2020 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton, NY.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10am at the Basilica Parish of Jesus and Mary in Southampton, NY. Her burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
