Frederick H Kampf, II passed peacefully at his home in Southampton, NY on Wednesday August 14th at 10:00am at the age of 84.
Fred is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen; his sons Michael and Vincent; his daughter Robin; his grandchildren Michael, Joseph, Raelyn, and Tyler; and siblings Robert, Betty Ann, Helen, Therese, and Mary Ann.
Fred was born on July 3rd, 1940 in Southampton, NY to Helen and John Kampf. He graduated from Southampton High School in 1958 and enlisted in the Army right after graduation where he proudly served his country.
He is remembered by friends and family for his commitment, dedication, service, friendship, love for helping others, and warm welcoming persona. Fred was a gentle loving husband and father who always encouraged his children to pursue their dreams and was proud of every accomplishment they and his grandchildren achieved.
Fred was a dedicated member of the community as shown by his passion for his work at the Southampton Post Office, over 50 years of service in the Southampton Fire Department, and being a caretaker of many homes around Southampton.
The wake is scheduled for Sunday, August 18th from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm at O’Connell -Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 30 Little Plains Road, Southampton, NY. A Firematic Service will take place on Sunday, August 18th at 7:30pm at the Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will take place on Monday, August 19th at 10:30am at the Basilica Parish of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary, Southampton, NY, followed by a private cremation.
