David J Squirrell

David J. Squirrell of Southampton and formerly of Rochester, NY died suddenly on August 24 in Southampton. David was 61 years old. He was born on October 11, 1960 in Rochester to Harley Squirrell and Beryl (Smith ) Squirrell. He attended Greece Olympia high school. He held various positions in the medical and management fields in Rochester. He changed careers and worked in Information Technology. He spent many years employed by Stoneybrook Southampton Hospital. He married Diane Lipomi in 1993. They settled in Southampton in 1996. He loved Coopers beach, his dogs, and was a long time Buffalo Bills fan. He was dedicated to the Southampton Fire Department and its members. He will be remembered by all for his kindness, his easy going demeanor and his good humor. He is survived by his wife Diane (Lipomi) Squirrell and his brothers Robert Squirrell (Alison Sykes) and James Squirrell, and many much loved cousins, extended family, and friends.
Memorial donations can be made in David's name to the Salvation Army or the Southampton Fire Department.

Visitation Thursday September 1, 2022 from 5-9PM, with a Firematic service a 7:30 PM at the O'Connell Rothwell Funeral Home, Southampton, NY. Inurnment to take place on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Cemetery, Sag Harbor, NY.
