Daniel Edwin Rowe of Westbury, died at home on November 6, after overcoming a series of health issues. He was 46.
"Danny" was born on June 20, 1977, in Queens, spent his childhood days playing in the streets and on the stoops, with his many Ozone Park friends.
His grandparents owned Harbor Deli, in Sag Harbor. When visiting, Danny enjoyed flying with "Opa" in his Cessna 150.
Eventually Dan's independent, inquisitive, outgoing and fearless spirit moved him to LI. Baseball and basketball were his gift and passion at Pierson High. He loved family wiffleball games that were competitive, loud and exciting. Being an adventurous outdoorsman, he hunted, surfed, skied, played ice hockey on frozen ponds, and fished the ocean or bays.
Known for working seriously hard at his plumbing trade, he will also be remembered for his helping hand, loving his family, rallying the troops, and his bigger than life personality, that was fun and entertaining.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Irmgard Jacobs; rekindled wife, Jill Karr; daughters, Layla and Amanda; grandson, Geoffrey Harris IV; brother, Christopher, and sister, Kerstin; parents Kenneth Rowe, BerTina Kirby; stepfather, Joseph Kirby; stepbrothers, Zachary and Aaron. Along with his Uncle Tom and Aunt Erin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather Hans Jacobs, Uncle Stephen and stepbrother, Logan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
