Charles D. Raynor "Dan" of Southampton, NY died on January 7, 2021. He was 77. Mr. Raynor was born in Southampton to Charlotte C. & Charles B. Raynor. He graduated from Southampton High School.
Mr. Raynor proudly served his country for 7 years in the United States Navy where he learned to be a machinist. Using that trade he went on to work for Rolle Brothers in Riverhead. He then worked for Southampton Lumber for many years, specializing in the installment of aluminum windows and doors. Before retiring he worked for Herrick Hardware.
Mr. Raynor proudly served his community as a volunteer firefighter for the North Sea Fire Department for over 35 years. Living on North Sea Harbor he had a love to go fishing and boating. Since he was a young teenager Mr. Raynor has always owned boats and loved working on them year round. He later became a very active member of the Yacht Club.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte of 54 years, his 3 children; Michelle Cusanno (Charles), Peter Raynor (Nicole) and Megan Minogue (Chris.) He was affectionately known as PopPop to his grandchildren Amelia, Aidan, Nicholas, Nathan and Delaney.
In leiu of flowe5rs the family asked that a donation be made to the North Sea Fire Department Scholarship Fund.
A limited visitation is being held at the O'Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton on Friday, January 15th from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
