Benjamin F. Marcune of Southampton passed away on April 3, 2011 at Stony Brook Hospital at the age of 87. Benjamin was born in 1923 to Jose & Agnes Marcune in Brooklyn, NY. Benjamin married Maria D'Agostino and together they operated Ben-Mar Beauty Salon in Brooklyn, NY. He later moved to Southampton with his family where he was a resident for over 50 years.
Benjamin is survived by his wife and three children; Janet Chandler of Southampton, Patricia Zelinski of Southampton and Benjamin F. Marcune, Jr. of Raritan, NJ. He was a proud Grandfather of Jason Chandler, David Zelinski, Elizabeth Zelinski and Victoria Marcune and a great grandfather of Emma and Max Chandler. In addition he is survived by his two brothers Patrick Marcune of Staten Island, Benjamin "Bill" Marcune of Bethlehem, PA and two sisters Jo Raquel Stoup of Pasadena, CA and Tonia Marcune of Las Vegas, NV. He was predeceased by his sister Vivian DiCapua.

Visitation will be held for 87 year old Southampton resident Benjamin F. Marcune on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the O'Connell Funeral Home located at 30 Little Plains Rd in Southampton. A Mass of Chrsitian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Poland RC Church in Southampton. Interment will follow with full Military Honors at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. Mr. Marcune was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard.
