Barbara A. Burke of Southampton, NY died Friday, August 9th. Barbara graduated with honors from Columbia University. She grew up in Douglaston and lived in Manhattan before relocating to her permanent Southampton residence. Barbara worked for TIME MAGAZINE for over thirty years as a journalist, senior reporter/researcher until she retired. She was passionate about photography (barbaraburkephotography.com), travel and politics. Her sister Nancy B. Quinn along with many nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Trixie survive her. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
