Anita M. Gosiewski

Anita M. Gosiewski passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021. Mrs. Gosiewski was born to Greenport, LI, she graduated Valedictorian of her Greenport HS graduating class. 
She was a graduate of Southampton Hospital Nursing School, and was a member of the Nurses Association. Mrs. Gosiewski later served as a volunteer at the hospital thrift shop for a number of years and was recognized by the New York State Hospital Association for her efforts. 
With her late husband "Little Joe" Gosiewski, she owned and operated Suburban Auto Service for over 40 years. 
Mrs. Gosiewski was one of the founding members of the Tuckahoe School Parent Teachers Association and was active in school activities for over 20 years.  She was a member of the Southampton Golf Club for over 40 years and served as president of the 9 Hole Group.
Mrs. Gosiewski was an active member of Our Lady of Poland Church where she taught CCD classes and was active in the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by four children, Joseph and wife Nancy, David and wife Cheri, Robert, Anita and husband John Scott Prudenti, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Poland R.C. Church in Southampton, followed by a burial at 1:00 PM at St. Agnes Cemetery in Greenport.
